Function

This mark-up is game ready.

Four lines pre-set; and with scroll bars in each of the 4 quadrants of every AB box.

As you can see in the first two AB boxes of the scorecard, all the text space that one needs to score the normal flow of events in a ball game can be contained in the four pre-set rows, six capital letters wide (at standard font-size). When something more happens (as shown in row 2 - column 1, South East quadrant), more lines can be added for text by pressing Enter; or just continue typing - the text wraps automatically when it runs into the edge of the div's pre-set width (see row 1 - column 1).

The Look

I think the scroll bars destroy the look of the scorecard. They are industrial in design - they are ugly. When engineers build a photo-type they paint their creation this colour - it highlights the engineering - at the engineering stage style is a direct function of design. Later, stylists add superfluous lines and colours that are pleasing to the eye.

I am looking for a way to narrow the scroll bars and make them any colour I wish - with out using script (which doesn't function in Blogger's Compose Interface).
