It was a good morning, I was up early working on the Minima III scorecard which will have JavaScript buttons that will make the Blogger Compose mode widgets obsolete and will enable the scorecard as a stand alone application one can use outside of Blogger - on any web site.
Around noon I pasted the Minima II v. 2.04 into this page and had all the line-ups and weather and all that stuff posted an hour before game time. After a delicious lunch I sat down with a contented smile on my face to begin scoring this game - I really like to be totally ready - makes scoring a game a laid back experience.
At 1:27 the wireless connection went down as the fellow who controls the wireless router started fiddling with it again.. (I assume). . Ruins my day scoring - it seems to happen right before games start, afternoon or night it doesn't seem to matter - all the rest of the time I'm online with a strong signal! Coincidence I am sure, the guy with the router likes to pull out wires and un-plug things at 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock I guess - for what reason I have no idea - perhaps he's bored?
So now I'll use ESPN Play by Play to catch up to the game - colours the experience, takes scoring from a joy to a chore.
Greg Zaun on the radio again with Jerry Howarth - he seems to be one of those people who is able to appreciate what another is thinking in real time - as he lets fly with his stories from inside the professional game (that remind me of the book Ball Four) - he remembers to translate inside baseball terms for the listener. On argueing with Umpirers, hoping you'll get the benifit of the doubt later in the game, Zaun says, 'that's asuming the guy might later think that perhaps he may have been wrong - but that is very rare'.
Indeed.

The only thing I can figure is the the team is hiding an injury - hoping to trade Camp in August...
.. thus getting more in return by not exposing a weakness in high leverage situations?
