My brain may have been a little fuzzy today, I couldn't keep up the whole game - even though I was ready to go at the first pitch. Bautista was backing out of the batter's box in the first when the pitch came sailing by - Jerry Howarth phrased it like, 'Bautista turned to the Umpire and said', " 'hey I just got fast-pitched!' " - to no avail, was called strike three.

I was so busy trying to keep up I couldn't tell ... did KC fast-pitch the Jays all afternoon?

When Soria came on in the 9th the game slowed for me, I was suddenly able to keep up on the scorecard - prompting me to wonder...

What a great day for Mike McCoy in the lead-off, 4 walks! That he didn't score in this one run game is a testament to how important Patterson is to this line-up (0 for 5 and batted into a double play) with Bautista in a slump - even with Adam Lind on fire (3/4).
