Well, still no TV here in Toronto, now Rogers Sportsnet is showing a football game, you know the one with that funny oblong ball and all the macho marketing? Rogers Communications Inc. is running ads in heavy rotation, branding Rogers Sportsnet as the place to see "Every MLB Post Season game." Not so much. That's 2 games today with no TV here in Toronto. This game I'm happy to announce is on the Rogers Communication Inc.'s FAN590 radio station, they carrying ESPN Radio - I love radio baseball, but it's not what they promised. Can you say Monopoly? This is how organizations with a monopoly in a given market run their business's - the CRTC should take note and make these behemoths sell off parts of their empires. We have two media giants here T.O. - Rogers which it seems, owns everything; and CTV - which owns everything else.

So, since the announcer in the Roy Halladay no-hitter 'proved' that you can sat no-hitter as many times as you want - and it doesn't hurt the no-hitter --- now all the announcers in the world are marketing no-hitters by say it as soon as they can, when ever they can. The announcer play by play announcer on ESPN radio, Jon Sciambi here in this game ruins the Jonathan Sanchez attempt at a no-hitter while bugging the heck out of this writer with mention of the dam thing every other sentence. Then Tim Hudson, (TIM HUDSON? The Pitcher?) yes the pitcher breaks up the no hitter with a base hit to right
Thus I say, Jon Sciambi, you wreaked it, it's your fault. The baseball gods piss on you and your ilk.
I hope your bosses notice. Now what is ESPN going to use to sell Wheaties? "Not no-hitters"?
Relief Pitcher Craig Kimbrel (who threw 19 pitches in this game) gets stuck with the Loss. Seems to me the scorer should have given to the person who desrved it more, the second baseman. Brooks Conrad committed three errors. Here's his fielding stats:
