Is that something to do with arbitration, or is the official scorer taking kick backs?

1B Lance Berkman running towards the stands on a pop foul tries to slow down and stay under the ball as he hits the dirt track and slips like he's on mud. In the bottom of the last inning CJ Wilson had to stop and clean his spikes as they were full of mud. Did it rain last night in NYC? Or did the wet the infield? A playing advantage for the Yanks?

Bench says Berkman had the wind knocked out of him, he's OK.

Looked up the weather for the Bronx since midnight this morning, no rain.

So the Yanks wet the field to their advantage. But with the Berkman play they almost lost their second First baseman in as many days; and the ball in the 3rd that stopped on the line for an infield base hit. Whatever the idea was, it's not working to this point.

As everyone leaves the field after the strike three looking, 9 hitter Mitch Moreland stands there like he can't believe what kind of pitch that just was (curve).
